Hey guys!
First of all, thanks to all the members that share their knowledge and experience on this terrific site!
After five years pushing a squeegee on my fantastic manual set-up, I have made the switch to an automatic rig. i believe a lot of wrong choices would have been made without all of your help contained in your writings.
My question; how do you use your quartz flash with your automatic? Do you use the interface controls on the auto? Use a sensor? I have a 2010 Diamondback with a digital interface and there are connections on the machine available.

We use the interface to set flash time.
Does your flash have the right plugs to match the sockets on the Diamondback?

Not sure what model of flash dryer, as Anatol has many. But they do have a model, possibly can be added to yours that has a motion sensor that mounts under the flash dryer so every time your machine indexes it triggers the flash dryer. Originally I think it was intended for manual presses.
Its been several years since I sold Anatol, but you should contact them to see if they offer the motion sensor setup for your unit...if so, your all set.

The motion detector is what I have been using on the manual. It's fantastic. Just curious if it would be the cat's meow on the diamondback as I have never tried anything but the m&r Reno on a job before I moved the press to its new home.

I give no guarantees or warranties on this, and you could be working with high voltages, so if you're not comfortable doing this, you may want a qualified electronics tech of some sort to help you out.
what you'd have to do is find out how the Rapid Wave flash is triggered when using a foot pedal or 'auto press connection'...
at the very least, the foot pedal connection may work with some modifications to the cable.
if your diamondback is set up like our sportsman, the flash 'sockets' on the side of the press are attached to relays that the press 'closes' to activate the flash. The press closes the relay for as long as the 'quartz flash time' is set to.
you could rig up a cable to connect from the diamondback flash socket (that twistlock looking plug) to the input on the anatol flash.
you may also get lucky on the anatol flash if it has a mode for interfacing with an auto press... you may be able to verify this by using the foot pedal with it and holding the foot pedal closed while in the mode for attaching to an auto press. If the flash stays on for as long as the foot pedal is closed, you can use this mode with your diamondback to control the length of the flash from the diamond back's control panel.
hopefully this isn't too confusing...

All quartz flashes shld have m-detectors IMO. Foot pedals may be inaccurate especially for sensitive substrates.
