Title: What inks
Post by: Inkmyskreen on February 17, 2016, 07:50:24 PM
I'm new to the Georgia area and wanted to know what brands of inks is popular here and what supplier are people using? I've already heard horrible things about Spot Color Supply and Color Matrix. Anybody else?

whoa, I've had nothing but GREAT experiences with Brannon and Scott at Spot Color Supply...

it's too bad they're not closer to us or we might buy more often from them.

Yea, me too. Haven't read/heard of anything negetive about them on the forums or Facebook.

Never go by just the hear say of one shop. Gotta get a lot of the same thing to develope an average. Even for those that do have a great rep, you will always come across that one who didn't have such a great experience as everyone else.

Spot Color Supply in my opinion is one of the best suppliers to do business with. Even after relocating, I still source many products from Spot Color because they're great guys doing great business. I've never heard a single negative about them.

It's great to see you, and King Screen (and even our friend Dan) step forward with these positive references for Spot Color Supply.  This one of those occasions where a person operating from false information could inadvertently create an undeserved negative view of an otherwise good supplier  I'm sure that Brannon and Scott will appreciate you guys having their back.  Aint the TSB Community a wonderful thing?

Your post didn't state which area of Georgia that your business is located, or if you were in need of same day or next day product delivery.  Nazdar SourceOne operates a full stocking warehouse in Norcross, GA with same day Will-Call sales, next day Metro delivery by Company Van, and shipment throughout Georgia and the surrounding states by LTL Van Lines, FedEx Ground, or UPS.

More information on the range pf products and services available from Nazdar SourceOne can be found online at www.SourceOne.Nazdar.com (http://www.SourceOne.Nazdar.com), or by calling customer service at (888) 578-5713 and asking to be connected with Inside Sales for your area.

AS a competitor of Spot Color and Color Matrix I must concur with the census.  Both companies go above and beyond the call of duty.  I think a better question would be what ink are you using now? Wilflex, Rutland, etc. Find who distributes what you use and go with them.

Brannon and Scott are probably the coolest dudes selling supplies, and would never do anything but the RIGHT thing!

I also think that asking what inks are popular may be a mistake. I'd be looking for the ink that works best in my shop, not the most popular one. Just an opinion.

I wouldn't go that far. ;)  On the flip side, I didn't get an invoice for my last order with them...

I would use them more often but I am literally 2 doors down from a Wilflex distributor.  I haven't really played with their inks much, but they are International Coatings which is good ink.  Again, I can walk to pick up Wilflex inks, so it's nice.

What part of town are you in?

You got bad info on Spot Color....Scott and Brannon are both class acts and have taken time to help us out and answer any questions we have ever had.  Don't believe everything you hear.  Spot Color Supply is an excellent choice for you to buy supplies at here in the Atlanta GA area.

Jealous.

On a more serious note, is it possible the original poster is a troll?  Seems odd that you'd come in with 1 post and start to berate a company that you can do a quick search on here and find a great amount of really good info about.

Someone has fed you a line of stinky dookee my friend. I'm in Florida and have dealt with Spot Color since they got started. They absolutely provide the best static screens and re-stretching of static screens that I've seen in my 10 years so far. I have S-mesh screens that are almost a year and a half old and still within the specs of Murakami. I've never had statics do such. They have always stood by their products and offer great service. Nobody is perfect, but they will go above and beyond to do what you want and need. There are plenty of suppliers for the products that I buy from them local to me, but, with the particular products we buy from Spot Color, none of the locals could match what they do for us. That being said, always be leary of a competitor smack talking a supplier, low blowing goes on all the time, just to steer folks in a direction, for me, that is the first red flag. An unhappy customer, well, I'd let spot color know who that place is, and I guarantee you, if the complaint is legit, they will go above and beyond. Best of luck to you! You can find a ton of help here.

Mike

All these posters here are lying they all stink, Spot color sucks, KolorMatrix sucks, see how easy it was to say all that ;D but really I haven't done biz with Spot Color, but believe they are very nice folks over there only heard good things about them, and there is two Matrix companies  one is Color Matrix and the other is KolorMatrix and I've visited KolorMatrix very nice people, like someone said you have to see for yourself and check facts :o

+1 for Spot Color. I've bought some small used items from them a couple of times and they were great to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

LoL This is a Silly and Childish Post
You made 3 posts as a Newbie and two of them are negative about us.

I challenge you to list those companies, who you have heard horrible things from about us.
We are by No means Perfect but we do absolutely Go out of our way to make them 100% Right!
Google our name and the truth becomes clear, we strive to do a great job! 2,200 5 star reviews on eBay and 14,000 friends on Facebook.

I have no reason to defend Spot Color, as they are are competitor of ours but what you've said is a lie!
Brannon & Scott run an above board business,  Google their name as well and you will read Rave Reviews!

However, there is a new supplier, roughly on the same side of Atlanta as Spot Color & Kolormatrix. If you Google the owners Name, you will find a long list of negative reviews. Calling him a con artist and crook. So Buyer Beware and do your research, Before You Buy!

Thanks to our kind friends, who offered support from this spiteful post!

...just took delivery of some s-mesh statics from SpotColor.
They average 27n/cm, which is 30% higher than the s-mesh statics (20n/cm) I've been buying from another reputable source.

I don't have any complaints about the lower tension screens I've been using, but I'm really looking forward to seeing if the higher tension screens, from Spot Color, give a better result !!

I suspect I'll being doing business with SpotColor often.

btw folks, the OP has bailed, and frankly, if not merely causing trouble on purpose, I would have been interested on where his info came from.
