How about this....

wow ive never tried such a wide satin on puff--is that more than 3mm foam to achieve that?....where are yougetting new era blanks? lol
great stuff!

Sanmar

Here is another one!
-
what kind of emb machine are you using? i havent been able to pull anything larger than a 2.25" tall design on our SWF but that may be due to the height of the cap itself i suppose.
oh ok so theyre not fitted, its the snapbacks? gotcha
-
SanMar's New Era caps DO offer fitted or "flexfit-like". Nice hats, sew well.
-
yep Snapcaks.
Well I use Barudan elite xl for samples and Tajima TMFX 1204 for production.
I've never seen a SWF in action, I can go up to 2.65" high on both machines, here is a logo 2.65"H
-
When we have to sew something tall or way offset to one side, we use the Tajima 270 degree hoop, but otherwise we try to keep it at or below 2" and use the EMS/Hooptech hoops and our P&F Equip. hat hooper. Our machines are all Tajimas.

EMS/Hooptech
Are these hoops ok? Never tried one , hold registration ok?
I understand it's only for the front of the cap, but seems like old type cap hoops.
-
on SWF, you basically need to be at least 1" up from the bill to sew properly or it wil hit the "teeth" in the hoop...i'd give anything to sew that low on a hat, thats amazing...as far as going 'higher', maxes out at about 2" because the arm will start hitting the top of the hat and distort left to right movement
i was looking for blank 59fiftys at wholesale rate but i dont think that happens...
do you do the embroidery for Grenade Clothing?
-
They hold registration quite nicely. That coupled with the P&F Equip. hooper which utilizes a foot-operated stretching device makes the hat as tight as it can get and still maintain its curved shape. I don't personally like Hooptechs framing gauge. Not enough power/leverage and while hooping, requires more hands than I was born with (just my opinion). Yes, the EMS is primarily for the front, although I've often used it successfully on the back. When the design has to be drastically offset to one side of the bill, I have to use the 270 hoop.
