Need to find out where I can order 24x20 IR panel for my conveyor dryer. I Have Atlas 824. It has two 24x20 panels in it.
I will appreciate if someone can direct me to a good affordable place that sells them. Mine just died tonight :(
Thanks

BBC is much cheaper.

Now you know why I quickly asked you where you got that one you had gotten.
I'll be replacing that exact size if this deal works out for this dryer.

I'll second/third the recommendation to buy from Intek. I just received my 18x18ir econo flash with cord and the quality really is evident when you feel the weight of the box. Much thicker steel structure, powdercoated and rugged.
How much is a BBC panel of the same size? Intek pricing I have seems pretty reasonable for a 24x22 panel with frame and junction box for use inside the dryer.

So you were able to buy just the panel from Intek?

What I bought was basically just an 18x18 flash without a stand or temp control. Has the element installed in a rugged case just like a stand flash. The pricing pdf Philip sent showed the other panels framed with a junction box on top. I assume those units are meant to use inside a conveyor dryer as they don't have the outermost steal case but the element itself is fully encased in thinner metal. Just hang, wire and go. No reframing the element.
I haven't asked for pricing on bare elements but they list them on their website also in bare form, just don't see prices. Back when I was considering refurbishing a big dryer I was tipped off that Intek would have much better pricing than BBC and I did confirm it back then, but changed direction and didn't buy at that time.

Thanks for the info.
As of right now, Atlas has the best price for the complete panel.
BBC has the better price than Intek on the heating element by $140.
I thought that there was another Co. that sells panels but I can not remember which one it is. I found it when I was thinking about building a dryer.

if the panel is dead, you should try ti fix it yourself. take it apart and find the break in the heating element. If it is close to the connection, you might be able to stretch it a bit and reconnect.

True, they are very simple devices... just a resistive load.
I've contacted Intek and the price I have for a 18x24 panel was 237 I think. (230 something)
So BBC definitely has that price beat. That was just the straight panel, no junction box nothing... just "twisted pigtails" coming off the elements.

Pierre, I'll check it out next week, I'm going to Chicago over the weekend.
Gilligan, BBC has them for $152 and Intek was asking $290. That is for a 3100 watts heaters.

BBC!!! They blew my mind when I picked up mine for so cheap. Ordering 2 more as back ups for my dryer.

It sounds like either Intek raised their prices something fierce in the last year or two, or you have to talk to the right person nowadays.

I didn't know the British Broadcasting Company sold panels.
