I don't think the project is shelved, from what I understand they are working on some base related stuff. . . maybe they are not shipping anything until they are done with this part. Did you contact Rob?

Lux -- I just replied via PM.  For the rest of the group:

Sales and sampling to NEW customers for the ImageStar Silicone product is on hold for a bit.  We WILL continue to service our existing customers.

We were moving to market with a more matte finish product (our ImageStar 3100/3500 series).  We have been selling significant quantities of this material during the pre-commercialization process with exceptional results.  The goal was to commercialize for Long Beach a couple weeks ago,  Unfortunately, at the end of November, we experienced a potential quality issue with colors made from this base.  The issue has been confirmed and isolated to a batch, but not the root cause nor corrective action.  Dow Corning is actively working on a solution, but likely will not have an answer for another couple weeks.  We continue to provide this product to our primary beta customer with no issues.  However, in order to go to market, we need to have full resolution.

When the issue arose, we ordered the older semi-gloss material (ImageStar 2100/2500 series) which is the product we were planning to move away from.  This is the material that Pierre and a few others have been running.  The lead times are excessive, and we will not receive delivery until March.

Hope this helps!
