Hey all, we have this lamp, which we've had for many years. The lamp has a fan that runs when you shut it down for a couple of minutes to cool the bulb. Ours has stopped doing that (a while ago now). My screen guy talked to Douthitt and was told, no, that lamp doesn't do that. Of course, we know he's wrong. Any thoughts?

It runs during exposure, and after the initial warm up, but when it's powered down, it's supposed to keep running to cool the bulb down, usually about 90 seconds or so. Yet, the repair guy says, no it doesn't work that way. We've had it for years, I think we know how it works as a rule...

Steve-

All of the units we have worked with and refurbed work as you describe. Can you email over a photo of your unit to: info@screenprintsource.com , so I can see what vintage unit you have.
