Something I just got approved... a little different 'toony style than what I normally do. Very fun project!

I'll be getting a shirt when it's printed and I'll post it here.



8 colors on white, (sepped for 9 colors for future prints on darks).

The relatively flattened background elements adds emphasis to the car and shop name. Keeps it from being too busy. Great work as usual.  Thanks for posting.

Yes, I always sep for all colors, even if the initial order is for white, you'll get a base!

Steve, haha yes I love Lemorris! I WISH this style would come so easy to me as it does him. I was trying to channel the late, great Dave Deal as well. It's fun to let loose with the toon style.

Those doggies are "Westies" by the way. The owner of the rod shop has that kind of dog and they were requested.

Conny-sewers of Car-toons, will point out that while Command takes liberties with the usual rigidity of steel in this example, he still maintains relatively normal proportions as opposed to Lemorris's Car-icature style which emphasizes exaggeration.

btw I noticed your rat rod on the main page of Andy's retail site. That's an honor.

So, in case you haven't figured, I dig it. I like all your work.
I still think you should get loaded sometime while you're in a drawing mood though.

I know what you mean... it looks clean from way back there, especially since my inking is usually done in Illustrator for geometrics... but here's a closer look at the painting. I like brush strokes!

No anti-aliasing @ 300ppi.

Soft edge brushes for the gradients, hard-edged for the detail and smaller areas.

Final art is 9.5" wide.

You know, for kids.

I haven't been here in a bit.  I saw this elsewhere and loved it.  I re-loved it today...that's double loved.

Great piece.  I appreciate the comparison, but I'm not even in the same room with this guy.
