Sleeve Pallets
« on: November 13, 2013, 08:20:02 AM »
Just wondering on your experience with sleeve pallets.  Looking to get some to do anything from tags to long-sleeve T's, to possibly even sweatpant legs on the auto.  Whould I have problems with sleeves if I go with a 5" platen over the 4"?  I would rather have them a bit bigger for more versatility if possible.  Thanks!

you will be way better off with 4" sleeve pallets. You can also use the tip for insertion of pockets as well. 5" will be a chore on most sleeves.

we have a 4 inch set and on smalls it is tight towards the cuff..I could not imagine using 5 inches for those and mediums.

i have 4" and 6"  I find I throw a lot of stuff up on the 6's.  I used to mainly use 4's, but I do most sleeves on the 6, long sleeves on the 4's.  I like tony's idea though, that is smart.

I am cutting down some old 16's into 14's.  So I will have 16, 14, 10, 6, 4.   I like the 14's because they can still print a front print, but I can fit youth and ladies tees on there easily.

we print nearly everything on 14" platens... many times, even a full back ends up being 13 - 13-1/2" wide so that we don't have to swap platens out... and considering that 90% of our orders have some decent # of small shirts on them, the customers don't want to pay more for a 2nd screen or small quantity of small prints.

I had mine made 4" shorter.
I find it much easier to set up the print this way, I'm not printing near the edge of the screen and we don't have to pull the sleeve down the pallet.
Until recently we printed sleeves by hand, the pallets on the automatic are great.

We use Action sleeve/pocket pallets which work great and we do print Tons of pockets daily. You will never get a long sleeve on a pallet wider than 4 inches. Even that size is tough on smalls and mediums.

Hi everyone:

Pardon our recent silence while our name has been mentioned here. Our new facility has become a second career. We are very close to moving. The riggers show up here on December 9th. This means we disconnect all machinery several days before and will be down for a week - hopefully. We have stocked up on the items that we think you may need and don't anticipate a major delay in filling orders. However - Now would be a better time to call us if you plan to next month.

Regarding long sleeve printing and sleeve pallets:

If you are printing adult mediums and above - you should have either a standard 4" wide pallet or a Pocket/ Sleeve pallet ( Pictured Below ). The 4" wide standard sleeve pallet is always the best thing to use when you can. It's the least expensive and easiest to deal with. The Pocket/ Sleeve Pallet is equally as easy to use and will perfectly match the pocket during pocket printing.

If you need to print small sizes of long sleeve shirts. I could write a long essay on the pros and cons of the Hinged and the Double Sleeve pallets you see pictured below. However, please suffice it to say that it's often times - different strokes for different folks. We have many fans of the Double Sleeve Pallets and also of the Hinged Sleeve Pallets.

If you're a known customer to us - we will ship you one of each for your evaluation. You can return them in perfect condition within 30 days and we will give a 100% refund.
