With knit beanies, what type of backing do you use?

Thanks,
Matt

Shane,

Thanks for the input,  the design has a small block of stitching filled in with a tagline below it. The tagline has some small letters. I will try try the tear away.

Thank you,
Matt

Use topping to so that the letters do not sink in as much.

on knit hats with small letters we sometimes lay down a light fill stitch pattern to whack down the knit fabric then apply the small text over the fill stitch.
produces a nice "boxed " or recessed3D kinda look.

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES COMPLETELY WITHIN MY CONTROL YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN TEE SHIRT AND A SHARPIE MARKER BY NOON TOMORROW OR SIMPLY CALL SOMEONE WHO GIVES A SHIRT.

I suggest the same as the other 2 post, use solvy  and possibly a light fill under the little letters. I have done both for designs. Solvy for sure.

Yes. I use two layers of tearaway.
Also, make sure you slightly stretch the beanies when hooping. That way you "build" a stretch in the design before the beanie stretches on a head.
