first foil job...tips of star image not adhering..what am i doing wrong?

I foiled for the first time....its a row of stars...a few of the stars tips the foil did stick. Here is my process:

Using crown gold foil
Apply foil adhesive with a 110 mesh
Cured under the flash (becuase its a sample shirt)
Let it cool down
Set heat press to 375
Pressed for roughly 7 to 10 seconds
Let it cool
Peeled slowly...attach is a close up of one of the stars.

U can see the adhesive is on the shirt......so am i not letting it cool long enough?..i follwed crown foil specs..was maybe off a second or two here or there.

Another image of whole design...i notice the white ink kinda of looses its "pop" after going under heat press....i am using the protective sheet to protect the plastisol....should i use more hits of white?...what u see is print flash print flash of white.

Got it!...i followed the crown specs exact...used a stop watch.....8 second press...30 second cool down...peel slowly

Thanks...i did read the instructions first but i counted on my own....no stop watch....well that doesnt work....u need to be exact on the times....its not forgivng if u r off by times.

I've been known to count to myself rather than set the included signal timer on my strictly manual heat presses.
My favorite in an old Insta which has a mechanical bell!

I'm presently fighting some cap patches, that when I follow the guidelines for temp and time, are still hot enough for the damn patches to become unstuck and pop off if the caps are disturbed.
No mention of a cool-down period that I had to learn on my own.

Another thing we have found helps is to have a old t-shirt or rag around,  ball it up and rub/roll it over the foil before you remove it. On a longer run a roller makes things move along a bit faster.

For foil we press longer than recommended and at a higher temp, then while still hot we use a pestle (the handheld part of a mortar and pestle) wrapped in a single layer of tshirt material and rub/press all over where it should be adhering, focusing on the details.  Wait until everything is at room temp and pull from least detailed to most detailed side of your print.  Slow and steady and it should work fine.  We usually p/f/p with 156 mesh for the adhesive.  The end result has almost no hand and great detail.  Also using crown typically.

Its a union adhesive ink....has some 9000 number after it..Union 9008 or something like that...I'm not near my biz to give u the exact number...i will post it tonight when i get home.
