People think that, but no. The known Pioneers of sim process( in the high end methods we know today) would be The guys at New Buffalo. John Weise and crew. They started the large football players on shirts back in the mid 80's   Now, people did technically do aim process but manually such as hand stippling and overlaying colors with stipple dots and zipatone.

Rick really mastered process and sim process to high end duplication of original art. They are by all accounts one of the very best shops ever. They became very efficient in production speed, shop org. Etc.  They have everything down like a pit Crew team. They are good to learn from if hiring a consultant for shop efficiency.

Hi,

Thanks, I'm doing good. I'm still working by the hour it seems, but my time is coming around soon.
My personal goal is to work and let my work earn me money rather than the hours I put in. That would be good.

I'm happy to say I worked for Rick for 9 months and it was quite the eye-opening experience.

Actually this was being pioneered by several companies pretty much simultaneously. Winterland, Oats, Harlequin Nature Graphics, Anderson Studios to name a few

Wow forgot all about those guys! Also at Harlequin our main competition was Habitat tucked away in the Colorado Mountains. Montrose I believe.
