Experienced Screen printer in an Award Winning shop (Cleveland)
We are an Award winning shop in Cleveland and are looking for the right person to join our team. Our work is on the cutting edge and we are quickly becoming one of the most respected shops in US. We have won two equivalents of the Academy Award (SGIA Golden Image) and are winning at every National and International competition we attend. We are also working with manufacturers on new products and techniques not available to the standard screenprinting shops. This is a great opportunity to join our team and take your skills to the next level.
This is a mid to high level position with an opportunity to learn, move up and take on more responsibility over time. We are looking to fill this opening immediately and it is for a full time permanent position.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
-Set up and operate a state of the art automatic press (this is a press operator/loader position)
-Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure final product meets customer specification.
-Printing with different types of ink on different garment materials and troubleshooting/resolving any issues.
-Fast paced environment with numerous setups and tear-downs per day (using per-registration system).
-Adjust dryer parameters for the different ink and garment types.
-Tear down and cleanup after production.
-Maintain records of the production details in the shop's management software.
-Ink mixing and color matching.
-Work closely with the "off-loader" on the press and if necessary teach and/or supervise.
REQUIREMENTS:
-At least 1 - 2 years of experience REQUIRED! Auto preferred, but not necessary.
-Team player! No egomaniacs, primadonnas or spoiled brats! Good working environment is highly important so POSITIVE attitude is of utmost importance.
-High attention to detail is required for the work we do.
-Ability to follow instructions and good verbal communications
-Overtime may be required during the busy season.
-Must be able to pass a drug test
-Reliable transportation a must
-While majority of the work will be on the press, knowledge of other processes in the shop is required (mixing ink, exposing/washing/coating screens . . .)
-The position will provide and opportunity to learn the highest level of garment printing.
