CTS
« on: September 18, 2013, 12:58:36 PM »
If you could get into a used working CTS unit that was serviced yearly for under $10,000 would you do it.

Some basic info:
ink based system
handles 23 by 31 frames
tri-loc compatible
print area - approx. 14" by 20"
4 minutes to print 12" by 14" image

Any thoughts?

YES, YES and YES as long as it wasn't one of those early ones from a company that is no longer in business.

I wouldn't say too much either if I were him, one of us might just snake it out from under him :)

You guys have been open and helpful so I don't see a reason not to put it out there.

I don't know that there is much support, parts, brain to pick etc for that machine.  The guys that were behind it are still around but to my knowledge they have dissolved and it was I think partially backed by "a person who shall not be named" so I'd be very diligent in your research on that unit.

Yes it was backed and run by Voldemort B*****. :o :o  However not a bad unit.  A company called The Graphic Cow runs them.  In SC.

I know a guy here in Lakeland that I'm pretty sure knows those in and ouy. He handles cts service and installs for Roeder industries, and the machines they sell/sold from acticam. His name is Ralph Eisenhower, you can contact him through Roeder Industies, their office is in Orlando.  If anything,  Ralph or Shawn Roeder can point you in the right direction,  but I'm pretty sure they service those units.
