Here is a picture of my home based shop. It's a 14x20 garage screen work is done in the basement this the "production" area. I would love to see more home based shop pictures.

Lol actually I was inspected for the 220 line sub panel and the outlets no issues. The fluorescent lights draw less then 3 amps each I have two on a 15 amp outlet and two more on an e-cord rated at 10 amps. The panel is fed with #2 camper wire (no conduit needed) with a breaker at box and in the house. Grounded at both ends with 8 foot rod both being bonded through #2 camper wire to ensure no deviation in ground potential. The yellow wires are for generator.  Not connected all inside wire in conduit bonded to ground. The hanging wires are the lighting and yes it looks sketchy. Because the are not permanent it is to code to run them as such that or the county guy was an idiot mufahahaha

I'm generally not inclined to show off the mess I print in, but here it is anyway. 18x20 garage. 4x8 darkroom with my Amergraph 150 and a drying cabinet & dehumidifier behind the louvered doors (with garbage bags stapled over the louvers on the inside to keep the humidity out). The bathroom (also 4x8) on the left is my washout room. I had an unfinished tile shower that my washout sink just barely squoze into. Under the screen rack at the back is a table saw and my newman table. Next to that to the right is the beer fridge and a mig welding cart.

When I had plans to build my house, I was going to put in a car lift... so TECHNICALLY I could squeeze in 3 cars.

it was the garage that sold the house to me...  garage is a tad over 1000sq feet, house is 1900 sq feet... LOL.

I looked at a house with a 4 car garage...2 wide and 2 deep.  That thing was massive.  I tried to offer on it, but it just had one placed earlier.  It was sweet though.

I could have parked my van with the boat attached in the garage...talk about nice.

I have a friend with a lift in his 3 car garage, it's nice.

That is a well laid out shop since you have enough space.  Our shop is long and narrow, a bad combo for screen printing presses that are mostly made round.

The only place a man is safe at home is in the garage or shed!
I would venture a guess that the square footage in my garages and sheds is greater that the house square footage!  And I still have dreams of a pole building ( that is more of a modern-day barn not a strip club for those of you that didn't know:))  )

For you guys that have a garage shop, do any of you have employees that come in on a regular basis? I thought about putting up a large building our property and printing at home it would save me 2 hours a day driving. I didn't like the thought of having employees drive to my house to come into work. I also figured I could never really "leave" work then either.
Just wondering how you guys would handle that.

We're to the point that I'm in need of a master printer to come in and work for me, but up till now, it's been neighborhood kids helping me pull shirts form the press, and catch and fold them after curing.

We're making enough money right now to move into a commercial space, but since the garage is working fine for now, we haven't gotten to the point of moving yet.
