« on: August 10, 2013, 08:54:21 PM »
Anyone heard from Lance? His site is down as was mine. He sub hosted me. I tried calling him several times. No answer..hmmm. Last I knew he was in China. Called Webmasters.com and they told me his account had been suspended for non payment.. they tried calling him too. NO dice. OH CHIT. BUT they were kind enough to comp him until I moved my site..  I am hoping nothing of harm came his way or he is not in a Chinese jail being violated by "U Me Fuk"   sorry just slipped out. But does anyone have any info?

As a matter of fact, I am in communication (though quite time delayed and drawn out) right now.
I also had my site with him, and in March as per his notice of bailing out, went with webmasters directly.
Then about a week ago, had a little blip, and my site went down because of my DMS settings not matching between the server and the host or something  stemming from him still controlling my domain name on the now dead address.
The non-payment was apparently a glitch with automatic transfers from his bank in Hong Kong,

Webmasters fixed me up, but we still have to iron out the domain issue, as it's still registered to Calibrated, but Lance thought that he had washed his hands of all of us already.

As for Lance, he says he's working 17 hour days and not getting a chance to enjoy his success, but hopes to be back to normal in about six months in time for...
the birth of his first child.

BTW, webmasters is treating me quite well. They are really trying to help sort my mess out.

That whole thing with having your domain thru him was a fumble on my part. I left to go through another...and he switched or upgraded or something and doesn't have access to the back end ( of the old version) and so "apparently" my domain name is locked up and he can't get in. I donno about all that and how it works, but I can't register get my Dot-Tone.com over to another. Bummer, cuz that one is shorter and easier to put in. Haven't pushed for it that hard tho.  Maybe I can get it back now with all of the other confusion.

Sorry gentleman for beig MIA, however I am at the moment exceptionally busy with my newest venture..which is not screen printing related. In fact I have begun a pizza restaurant that has become exceptionally successful in a very short time, but sadly requires virtually every waking moment of my time. Due to the time differences and the fact that my home is only for showering and sleeping I rarely even see my phone, much less answer it. Pics below. It was born partly out of a joke when I was dying for some good pizza, bought a cheap pizza oven and had a pizza party. All my friends said that I need to open a store because it was the best pizza that ever had (not hard to believe when you consider that there are less than 3 pizza shops within 100 miles and one is Pizza Hut) I setup shop at home, advertised to only apartments within my block and via a mobile media called "WeChat" and within 2 months I had earned enough money to fund the construction of the store....we are open now and at this rate will have a second store within 12 months.

Here's the short story on the hosting and domain issue.
As you all know, you were notified multiple times, given extensions and then some to create a new account with webmasters or obtain hosting services elsewhere...many of you dragged your feet, failed to follow instructions or worse yet altered the account passwords (locking me out from the transfer process) I was paying a premium price for a server that was supposed to go offline 4 months ago and I was not billing anyone for host services. My new server is now offshore (for several reasons) and is being used for my ventures in Asia. Due to tax codes and banking regulations it was decided to drop the US site once the transfer to Hong Kong was complete, which took place in July, but the sites cart was disabled before that. I had intended to transfer the site to a US partner to continue operations, but they clearly lacked the skills required for such a venture and I am just too damn busy, so it was allowed to "drop"....sorry everyone for failure to provide a notice, but as stated several times...I have virtually no time.

As for domain name transfers, well they were all whats called "Super-Locked" which I had forgot about and requested recently that they unlock them at websmasters. Once they are unlocked I can go into my domain controller and begin the transfer process. As yet, they have not been unlocked which I have inquired about. I will email everyone directly to obtain the info I need to process the transfer which in short is merely a "password"

Dan, sorry that you still have not been able to get the domain back...However in my defense when you stated that you no longer wanted to host your site or pay for my services that also meant the $10 annual cost to register the domain name. When you cancelled your account, registration of the domain name went with it and hence it was cancelled. I cannot get it back, it has to hang in limbo for a time period before it can be freed up as an "available" domain. My advice is to check with regular frequency if the name is available so your first to get it once its free again. Sorry, but this is clearly not a situation that is of my doing (wrongly or otherwise)

Good idea, the pizza restaurant. Even harder to find in China is a good cup of coffee. You serve real coffee, right? Not "Mister Brown." LOL

Webmasters has told me that all they need from you is an email releasing or bequeathing the name to me.
They apparently kept me up and running with a "domain shell" whatever the heck that is.

At any rate, I will certainly help on my end with anything I can. Thanks.
