Inexpensive automatic wanted

my shop is about 20 ft wide by about 40 ft long. I kinda like the idea of the oval since they are hydraulic operated (chain) is that right?

I will have to research the Rototex more. Are parts available for either the Rototex or Precision Oval?

Rototex is going to be nearly all local hardware store/McMaster Carr. And aero-inc.com will have the rest.
I know there's some things on the oval's that are hard to get. Hell, pallets and squeegees for one. Rototex
uses American (Multiprinter, etc) pallets and M&R squeegees.

Check out an old precision oval.  I've heard you cannot knock those out of registration.

Had one, printed 1 job on it and sold it. Kinda of a bummer because I was excited to have an auto and it made my shop look more professional to the customers but it was a real POS and a PITA.

5 Color Rototex on DS but its the furthest away it could be in New Jersey! lol

Bet you'd find someone to haul it over for 1K. You can teardown/setup yourself if need be.
Literally 4 bolts per head and pallet.

What about an old javelin?  They are tanks, totally rebuildable and can get you started.

(pallets, squeegees, floodbars), the V-Squeegee and that they are all air.
Rototex is all electric except the choppers/index fork. Viva Rototex!

talk to the manufacturers of the equipment you are looking to buy. Most of them are working with somebody that will finance the equipment. Also since they know the equipment and the business better, they are more likely to approve.

think new car and used car lot. New is always easier to get and the interest rates are lower!

Yea v-squeegees kind of suck, and all air means big compressor and noise unless you get a screw.

Standardizing accessories on a tight budget wouldn't matter to me, but like Pierre said, if you can talk to the Manu about some more reasonable interest rates the definitely go for new, no reason to add someone else's problems/bad habits to your learning curve if you can avoid it.

That lawson appolo could be a good machine...i would check that out.. I personally would not be and dont  think you will be happy with a old precision or rototex.  a MULTIPRINTER?  MAYBE. The thought of a good cheap auto is exciting but the set up times and flashing on a oval is a real PAIN, squeegie pressures on the americans will be a daily battle. the novelty will quickly wear off. someone suggested a tuf javlin(great press) if your serious, 22% is really not that bad considering the payback.. you will save the 22% in set up times and test shirts.  i have been down both roads(several times..lol)   get the right equipment and start making money..just my .02
