Need source
« on: August 16, 2013, 12:17:29 PM »
See pic below. That is our pneumatic hose to our compressor. This morning it blew, sounded like a rifle shot. This hose is over 15 years old and I have no clue where we got it from. Need to find a place that sells it custom length and specified fittings. PSI over 100. TIA

I'd bet a hydraulic hose shop could make one for you.

That said, the Goodyear or Firestone airline, barbs, and hose clamps, will easily
hold 100PSI+.

if you have a good auto supply shop not a chain like auto zone etc but a good one they will be able to do it also.  those hoses are also used for air brake lines and such.

harbor freight used to sell hoses. They were available in many sizes and few diameters. You should be able to pick one up and make it work for $50-$100. 'put you back up to work the same day.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

Take few minutes and secure that hose to the wall every couple of feet, 5' of broken hose with 100 psi going thru it whips around like crazy and can really put a hurt on any one close

There is two clamps lagged to the wall and floor at the corner just out of view and one more clamp where it turns up at that press. Surprisingly the hole is quite small but dumps air like mad, still running the press tho the compressor is kicking on quite often.

Speaking getting hose whipped, I worked on a pipe fitting and welding crew, I was the one who had to hold the fire hose in case of a fire.  I accidentally hit it full blast and my azz went for a quick ride, I knew not to let it go or I would have got hurt bad.  Ok sorry for the derail

Amazon Hose & Rubber in Orlando. I've had them make auto A/C hoses and some oil lines for my Sporty that the dealer said was "obsolete" . . .

Regular air-line with fitting and hose clamps will work to 200PSI.
