Any of you CCI Discharge printers want to share your fave HOT Pink formula?

I'm always sorta "meh..." when I get done discharging pink on darks.

I've messed around with 239,  226,  Straight Rubine, Straight Rhodamine......

.
Yawn....



I DO want to do this in ONE STEP, on Black Gildans.  There are "girly" foil elements, or I'd be tempted to just run them in plastisol.  I'm not confident with plastisol foil resist, although I DO have some.

I've never exceeded the Pigment Loading past 5% Boost on the CCICMS Software, but I though about trying 226 doubled.

Anybody got a tip or trick?

You should try CCI's new FLO Hot Pink. It's a great color; nice and bright.
A personal favorite is 213. 75% Rhod. Red, 25% Warm Red. 15% pigment load. 4% activator.

Yeah, I can't wait on the Flo Hot Pink. I've gotta run these today. (King, is that a RFU ink?)

I've not tried the 213 though, I don't think. (I'll check my notes.)

I'll mix up a sample and see after lunch.

It is too bad you don't have time to order the FLO Hot Pink, it is killer. ALL of the CCI neons we have had good luck with. Yes, they are all RFU's.

try less ZFS on the fluo colors. we typically run 3% for those.

I appreciate all the replies.

I am ordering FLO Pink CCI from California today, and may be a sample kit(?) of the other colors.  I HAVE used some Sericol Florescents and discharged them.  (Yawn....)  The shirts were intended to be used under black light only, and they just weren't up to snuff with Plastisol utilizing a BRIGHT full white base plate.

The job referrenced in this thread went out yesterday with CCI PMS 226 and 4% ZFS in the premium base. I did use 5% boost on the CCI software.

It was fine. Less than overwhelming, just like always.  Maybe more like..... just.... "Whelming"

I just got around to printing the CCI FLO Hot Pink.  All I can say is wow!

Waaay back when I started this topic, I didn't have a subsequent need to print hot pink in just this way, but I'm a a believer now.  And 3% ZFS works wonderfully, I can confirm.  I tested this under black light for "fluorescent" performance and it is nice and bright....PRE WASH, at least.  I have a sample in the washer now, but I couldn't wait to thank you guys for the advice, Pierre, kingscreen, and Alex.  If anybody hasn't tried this stuff yet, the sample kit with 9 colors (pints approximately) isn't expensive, so by all means give it a whirl, if you're set up for discharge printing.

(PS  Alex, I was INDEED able to score a sample of the Virus W.B. foil adhesive. It just came over the weekend and I will test print it later this week.  Thanks for that advice also!)

I AM a slow learner, I admit it! 

I hope I can convince my blacklight custy on a repeat 3 color spot job.  We ran his tees a year or so ago with Texcharge fluoros, but he went right back to plastisol on the very next order. I though they looked good in the dark, but his needs are somewhat different than holding a blacklight right up to a printed shirt in a closet, I guess.  I used more than 3% activator on that test, if I recall....so that might be an issue.  But in any case these CCI fluorescents are the bees knees, even if plastisol might still get the nod under blacklight. We'll see....

I have a shirt printed over a year ago with Flo pink and it still performs well under the black light.

The CCI blue in that kit; while not truly fluorescent, is very clean. Sericols flos basically the same although not as many. With Sericol you have to make your own flo  purple for intstance

We will be printing some Dflo, first time, by the end of the week. CCI does not make a crosslinker for their WB/DC product, anyone here adding crosslinker to their CCI product?
