HI From Maxie - Israel
« on: August 10, 2013, 03:47:08 PM »
HI,
I am new the this forum.
I have a T shirt printing business in Israel.
We do a lot of custom printing and also have a catalog of pre printed designs for the tourist market.
We use a MHM 10 colour and a Hawkins manual and a Kornti 933 Digital.
We only sell printed garments, the garments we import form India.
Thanks for having me on board.

welcome aboard Maxie!

Where in Israel are you?
Which MHM do you have? We are running an E-type and there are several more here that use the MHMs.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

Thanks for the welcome.
We have a E Type, it is a 10 color printer but our Kornit takes up one head so we can print 9.
The Kornit 933 prints onto the MHM pallett so we can combine screen and digital.
I am quite handy and things in Israel are quite expensive so I build quite a lot of our equiptment.    Our oven, exposure unit and wash out sinks etc are all home made.
We have been in business for 24 years and have a staff of about 16.
It's a tough industry but we enjoy it, I studied photography and my wife graphic design so we make a good team.
We produce a lot of our own designs so it's quite creative and I don't like being a one man operation.

I'm impressed. Good quality work with the occasional in coming rockets and buses that go boom in the streets. ;)

Donnie,
You must be reading to many newspapers.    Our streets are safer than yours.
We have a lot of ancient Mosaics in various archaeological sites and we specialize in printing images of these on T shirts.
We print a puff underbase so we get the effect of stones in the mosaic, I learnt a lot of about this from Charlie Taublieb at various ISS shows.

media or government lying to the public? NEVER! :-)

sorry to derail your thread Maxie, I'll vouch for Israel being safe from the firsthand experience. Spent a couple of weeks there courtesy of the US Government (yes, the same on that never lies to us).

My Apologies to you Maxie. It is painfully apparent to me that my sense of humor is not "worldly appreciated".  I meant no disrespect  to you or your state of "safety" in regards to your geographic location. Peace be with you.  In regards to the safety of my streets.. I live where the hoot owls mate with the chickens. (very rural area) About the biggest danger in my parts is being ran over by a senior citizen on bingo night.
