Thanks to our rocking friend in Japan for the excellent suggestion. When digital dial indicators are used with our  Leveling & Off-Contact Pallet System - the system is  amazingly fast and easy to use.
With the push of a button your indicators are zeroed. The easy to read and see numbers allow machine calibration to be accomplished in a fraction of the time it would normally take to do.

The LOCP is designed for use with Front & Rear Clamping Machines. The top assembly mounts into your frame holders. The bottom assembly mounts like a pallet. The use of our incredibly flat honeycomb aluminum provides you with a large area to calibrate to the highest possible resolution. This calibration system should be in every shop that has an automatic machine.

I may be missing something, but how would you level the screen holder?

You first choose either a pallet or a head to use as a reference to the others. Screen holders are adjustable on the left and right to go higher and lower. Screen Holders have to be adjusted so that they are parallel to the pallet. The planar agreement between your pallet, screen, and squeegee are critical to controlling the variables in screen printing. Did I answer the question Parker?
