Dryer Heat panel replacement source

I got my dryer hooked up this weekend and of course one of the panels is burned out..    call lawson and they want $600 for a new panel 

Does anyone know a place to buy replacement heating panels? I found a few places but want to see if anyone knows of something better.

The panel is 12"x36", single phase 240, 5000W and has the connections on top.

As Tom just posted, Intek manufactures these for the industry, but be warned. I was once savagely  pounced  upon by a well-known industry guru for even suggesting these folks to someone looking for a Harco or Brown replacement even though this is the manufacturer for those very panels.

Yes, other aging Lawson dryer owners would like to know. Mine won't last forever.

Intek is the jam, but if you're savvy enough quartz tubes can actually be
way less expensive as you don't need the instant on type.

I called a technician at Intek in regards to my dryer and questions I had about it. I've got a CAPS that is pretty much made up of off-the-shelf parts, and looking at the parts on the Intek site, I'm sure Alan from CAPS bought his stuff there. The tech explained what to look for, what to expect from the parts on my dryer, and suggested I even skip them and buy from a local appliance parts dealer for the temp control if I was in a pinch.
Very helpful and honest, in my opinion. I'll spend my money with them should the need arise.

Part # 1236.240.4500 fits the Encore 36" series dryers. This is for the element ONLY meaning you have to disassemble the tin box it sits in (a few screws and drill out 4 rivets) and re-assemble with the new element.

if you are going to take it apart, might as well try to fix it. I have a bad element that goes out once a year. Pop it  open, find the burnt end, cut it short, stretch what's left and reconnect. takes about an hour now. All you need is a multimeter.

That was my first thought, then when I got into it, the wire lead was melted together in some areas and with nothing more than a slight wiggle, it broke off inside the element. no fixing this one.
