Embroidery Gradient Blends

Hey Guys,
I need some help...AH!

I'm trying to accomplish something that is somewhat frowned upon to my knowledge. I'm trying to create a gradient color blend with embroidery that has four colors or three. My digitizer is trying his best to help but he recommended that I just use two colors only so it will look good. I want to know if there are any methods which I could use to achieve the look that is desired. Here's a pic of the artwork as well as a pic of the sew-out first run. Please help me dudes. Much much appreciated

What did you stitch that on? Looks like a pellon?

Looks great already.  I jut had a gradation blend done for me and while it was good. It was not "real good" due to the limitations. So I do think that adding or keeping more thread colors in the blend are what you need. IMO.s

you need to mix the threads but pulling some into the other colors on each side.  like this:

Hey thanks tancehughes. It's on pellon yes. Still trying to blend the colors better though, still very distinct color changes and I wish I had a tip or two to make it better.

You have the most common problem with blending and that is the wrong color threads. In your case the your trying to go from one blue to another but you are actually using unrelated blues in the mix and it shows. Unless you have a massive inventory of thread options its so hard to pull off a decent blend.

I would say without a massive amount of threads you could do a decent blend, you'd need a lot of threads to do a great blend.

That logo should only be blended with two matching blues. A darker blue and a lighter blue. But they have to be blues in the same family, no teals turquoises etc.

No expert here , but I would use some blues a little closer in colors, and it depends on how many needles you have on your head...hey don't they have thread that's already blended, that might be a better option for ya.  Had to run to the back and get my thread chart robison-anton has some 3CC light blue 2351 looks like a great match.

I have seen some nice blends where they sublimated on top of an embroidered crest.....
