gold shimmer ink on 100% ploy shirt?
« on: July 22, 2013, 01:25:37 PM »
Anybody ever PFP on 100% poly shirts with gold shimmer ink without an poly underbase? Most of the order is on 100% cotton black shirts and i usually PFP with great results. The order is mostly 100% cotton white and black shirts and maybe 2 dozen poly shirts. I have always used the same screen and just changed the ink.

I remember trying it once and it bleeding badly. Can't remember the brand, but I think it was Unions.

We usually only print shimmer with two passes no flash though.

to make it worse, the reflectivity of metallics and shimmers requires a little more heat than regular plastisol inks as well.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I forgot about slowing the belt, i do not see it working w/o an ub. I just sent them an estimate and i am sure the camp shirts will be dropped for budget reasons. Thanks, Peter
