Question for the auto guys- what are you indexing at?

When you have some quality time alone with your automatic what are you indexing at?
Depending on the day the best I can do is 9 sec.

Depends on the garments, but about 7 to 9 seconds.

BY myself, back in the day, I was comfortable at 60 dz. per hour.  With an unloader as fast as 90 dz per hour.

I have been on the auto for about 6 months and i usually start at about 10-11 seconds and move down to about 8-8.5 when i get a few dozen in.  I think everyones timing is very relative to the orientation and spacing to the dryer.  I side load the dryer and it was installed probably about 3 inches higher than I would like but all the exhaust piping would need to be extended if I lowered it.  That forces me to lift the shirt higher than I would like when placing over the sides of the infeed which takes a bit more time.

Talking time from when the index drops to rotate, to the next time the index drops and rotates, eight to nine seconds if I'm pacing.
Got the servo on large platens, I spose I could shave a second off speeding it up.  Rather keep maintenance low though.

Maybe I'm thinking 'indexing' while others are thinking 'index timer'.

If I set the stroke slow enough, I can load, unload, and grab the shirt at the end of the dryer while the index timer is at 0.

I'm I missing something here? Are you guys talking about the "delay" you have the press at while printing?  And isn't it usually referred to as dozen per hour?

True, to many variables, but my index is set to 0-4.

This is what i just did this morning, 18 dozen, 40 minutes,  1 person, 1 color left chest, adult s, m. I had the dwell on 6-7 sec. (not sure if the numbers on thumb dial even mean seconds.) On Friday with 2 operators we did on average 144 pcs., 17 minutes with a dwell at 3-4. Same left chest image but bigger adult size shirts up to 3X... 1995 Gauntlet, all air. I keep track of time with my iphone.
