Anybody using cci pfx hv emulsion for plastisol  . Any comment will appreciate

Thats good .  Its good  for plastisol or water based and discharge?

Plastisol, at least that's what I use it for. I do not know if by adding diazo, or treating with hardener it can handle those other inks or not.

For water based/discharge you need to add diazo.

It has always been stressed that no one can give you an accurate answer to a question like this as there are too many variables.
In fact, this issue was just discussed a couple of days ago in, I think, the thread about Chroma Blue
At any rate, CCI, like most manufacturers does list their approximate times to be used as a starting point for your own tests.
The CCI site contains links to the Tech sheets for this and most other products.

Ya know, if I didn't enjoy the forum thing so mush (usually), I'd say that I was enabling some folks to not do some of the most basic steps in answering some of these questions themselves. That could hurt in the future.

But even so, my answer would just be ballpark. That's the point I have to stress, especially to the beginners who read this stuff.
I mean no offense, and the forum does provide a shortcut for some research, but beginners will get into trouble in this part of the big picture, if we didn't constantly stress that
manufacturers suggested times, as well as mine, and those of every other screen printer here are only starting points for tests for each individual's mesh and coating style, even with identical exposure units of identical light output.

Granted, some emulsions have fairly wide exposure latitudes, but nonetheless, that's my answer and I'm sticking to it!

I'd just add that exposure changes with the life of the bulb and the life of the emulsion, and things like distance, type of film/ink, and even humidty and air temp can change things a bit.  I know we have adjusted our times on our unit a number of times when we noticed an issue.  There is definitely not an "answer" to a question like exposure time.

They also say at the bottom of the chart "BASED ON COATING 2 AND 2". Nice information, but still only a guideline. 2 and 2 sharp or round? Speed? So many variables to be considered. Next time I coat, I'm going to coat a screen 2 and 2, both using round, but using different speeds just to see what the EOM difference is.
