Gaah, you guys and your damn tape.

...try what I did. Get a wide coater and use blockout all the way to the edge. Trust me, I taped screens for 19+ years. After reading a few posts of others going tapeless, I decided to try it for thirty days, no excuses (yeah, I know I sound like a twelve-stepper or something). Once I got in the habit, I never looked back. I go thru about $25 of blockout every three months now, versus what would probably be $200+ of split tape. Not to mention the time savings, the mess and the addition crap in the landfill.
Thanks TSB gang!!

I HATE the ink on the frams!!!! That really stinks, that is the main reason I use the tape and of course for the reg marks and maybe some pinholes in spots.

+1 for J&J.  We told them what we could get from ULINE and they beat the price.  Just know that they will call over and over again to see if you need more or would like to try some of their other products.  It is seriously like clockwork!

...if there is ink on the frame, we just scub it with the same stain remover during reclaim (we use primarily Easiway 701 for that step, and blow it off at the same time via pressure washer.

...the transition is really all about making a conscious effort to change habits. Thats why I committed for a 30-day trial.

I use a 2.2 mil, 3" rubber based adhesive tape, 110 yds and I've sampled a few dozen different tapes over the years.  I'd love to know what you guys are paying for a roll of the 3".  We are paying 4.50.

Care to share? I can't find a decent supplier of tape locally anywhere!
