Cotswold Offers Low-Melt Fuse & Tear Stabilizer
« on: July 01, 2011, 09:29:50 PM »
The optimal stabilizer has been specifically developed for use with lightweight woven fabrics. Fuse & Tear, manufactured by Cotswold Industries, is a fusible tearaway with a low-melt fusible coating that eliminates the need for messy spray adhesives that will leave residue on your needle, hoop, fabric, and machine.

With Fuse & Tear, you get the stability you need to eliminate any movement while hooping or embroidering. It is ideal for woven fabrics, shirt-weight fabrics, fine linens, and similar type fabrics. It melts at 260 degrees F, which ensures that you do not risk scorching or shrinking the fabric during application. It easily supports a design of up to 6,000 moderately dense stitches. Once your embroidery is finished, it tears cleanly away to produce a professional-looking piece.

To use, simply apply a piece of Fuse & Tear to the back of your fabric using a heat press or iron set to low to medium setting, ensuring it is large enough to fit into your hoop. For stitch counts that are heavier or for very dense stitching, a second layer of Fuse & Tear can be used to provide the needed support.

Fuse & Tear is available in 15 inch by 25 yards; 15 inch by 100 yards; 20 inch by 25 yards; 20 inch by 50 yards; 20 inch by 100 yards; and 30 inch by 50 yards.
