Tested CCI DC neons today.
« on: May 02, 2013, 05:58:18 PM »
Our CCI rep came by today with samples of their new neon DC colors. They are premixed which is nice.
Here are some test swatches we did. 110 mesh. 4% activator. Scrap Gildan tee.

When you say premixed, do you mean like Sericol's texcharge series in that all you do is add the appropriate activator?

Alan, yes just add activator like Sericol.
Although, I ran the lime green this week on a job, app. 200pcs. and added 5% base and water to lighten it up a bit and increase penatration.  Worked very well.  I really like CCI DC product.

That's just the mesh of the swatch screen we use for testing colors. We regularly run CCI's DC through 230s with no issues. As Parker mentioned, we also add a small amount of water on occasion for better penetration. We do that most often with their DC white.

Just did tests today with the CCI rep, BIG THUMBS up to CCI on the neons.  And they offer more neons than anyone else.  At $45 for the kit of every color, you cant go wrong.  Call your rep today, you won't be sorry.

Agreed, just did testing with them today, and results came out awesome, so stoked.  crazy bright, good coverage, and pretty much ready to go right out of the bucket, just add activator and go.  good stuff! 8)

i should add, the blue, i added some blue032 pigment to it to get closer to another color i needed to match, and the pink was also bumped up with a bit of red and a dab of purple to get a bit more of a strawberry color, and a bit of extra binder added, plus some retarder in all colors to combat drying in screens.

and thanks dirk, they amuse me when i wear em!

How do the Matsui neon colors compare to the CCI ones? Just wondering as it would be cheaper for me to buy Matsui then getting CCI shipped. Would still use the CCI base though.
