R1800 crapping out
« on: May 02, 2013, 07:03:35 AM »
Well I have got my money's worth out of my Epson R1800 but yesterday it started pouring ink in globs on the film. I have run the clean cycle and it continues to falter. So I am now looking for an inkjet printer that will be able to use refillable cartridges and hopefully like the R1800 use cleaning fluid in the cartridges other that the MK black. I have a 3000 for backup and for 17x22 prints but for the majority of the time 13 wide is enough. Just curious what the TSB members are using.

Just had my 3000 serviced and it's back to printing beautifully and also picking up the waterproof film without issue from the feed rollers. I run the really big tough stuff through our 7880, but the 3000 isn't going anywhere anytime soon, it's a workhorse.
