Reflective strips to be added onto existing Safety tees.

Reflective  strips on Safety tees.


Can you put heat seal safety strip on the Safety tees (ones that have already been printed...for example.  Customer came back to want the reflective strips on the ones they previously ordered. If not, they will go to safety vest but thought maybe there were transfer strips |I could heat seal on them.

We used to get rolls from 3M (in lexington KY at the time) for a fire dept.  Dropped it inbetween a couple of printed flo green lines on the back. I think i remember reading that stahl's offers it.

Royster, Good questions.  Interesting.  Apparently not that much. As Tshirt1 mentioned, we found that Stahls offers it as a transfer. reflective names/numbers and stripes. So if they allow people to put them on without some strict guidance, then I doubt it's a real major issue.  The place where my customer is working (Disney) requires them to have stripes on.  I will look into that tho. Good call.

Stahls makes 2 different reflectives. 3M and their brand. If its going to be ANSI certified then you have to know the rules. If its just because they want some reflective on their shirts, then no big deal. order it up and press it. It isn't cheap though

Yes, there is a certain number of lumens they need to meet for the turn out jackets.  Again, my memory fails me.  It wouldn't hurt to check with end custy to see if they have reflectivity standards.

I just used about 10 yds. of Reflective from Imprintables Warehouse called Reflect Plus Silver Gray; worked great, but is a little tricky to work with. The cutter blade has to be just right pressure. I think they said it passed some ANSI regs. It runs about double what regular colors run. Also, Disney may not require the reflectivity that a Federal Highway project would...
