« on: March 21, 2013, 04:43:12 PM »
:oDischarging white on dark shirts, I am using CCI D white with 6% activator. Have about the same hand as plastisol? What am I doing wrong? To get a good white I have to DPF, DPF.

Thanks,

DPF? what is this sorcery?

Discharge whites will have more initial hand than any other color, that said,
it should not be near plastisol.

Depending on art, you should be able to get good penetration in a single
hit on meshes from 150-230, double hit above or for issues with gain.

You can cut most whites with discharge base, reduce the activator a bit, and thin
with water for better penetration and less hand.

Use a thin thread mesh if you have it, a 150/48 and 180/48 works great for one hit whites with DC white.  I've printed D-white through 225/40's with good results but there is something about the 150 & 180 that makes it look fantastic.

Double print flash = dfp.

I am using 155 mesh. I know with 4cp on white you basically don't feel it. I thought it would be like that?
Thanks,
Shane
