Deco Sparkle Silver DS 5650 Peeling Off??
« on: June 24, 2011, 10:45:06 AM »
Hi,

We recently used the Deco Sparkle Silver DS 5650 Vinyl on Cotton Capri pants with 3% Spandex heat pressed on the waistband.
Our customer brought it to our attention that the vinyl began peeling off after the first washing.

You can see the product here:

Does anyone have any idea as to what would cause this vinyl to peel off of the garment like this?

Thanks,
Jason Moore
Thanks!

I have no specific answer for you, but after double checking that this is a Specialty Materials product, I knew how lucky you were.
Call them, and speak to a tech!
They are, without doubt, in my experience and opinion, the best and most helpful techs in that segment of the industry!
(Sisier is sorely lacking in this, though I love the Easy Weed)

Seriously, I had a question about layering compatibility, they had no specific answer, so they actually right then and there duplicated my application on some test shirts, threw them in a washing machine, and got back to me immediately after the dry cycle!

So, nothing wrong with asking here, but rest assured that Specialty Materials will try to help you as well.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?
