Standard art width?

(1/4) > >>

Denis Kolar:
I have an order that is an mixture of all sizes S-XL. I was wandering is there a standard for a art width that would look good on Small and on X-large shirts?
I was thinking about 10" or 10.5".

Thanks

Denis Kolar:
Also, is there a standard for youth shirts?
(while I'm already asking?)

Frog:
In the end, I leave it up to the customer, but of course, they usually ask what I think.
12" wide is usually the widest I go,!0" the narrowest.
If the job has more small and medium (or ladies) than large and larger, I'll suggest 11".
My standard boards fit to youth medium (on all shirts but those huge Gildans), and I will put up to 12" on them if only a few.
If I have to go all the way down to youth small or extra small, 10.5".

It's always a compromise when doing a wide assortment of sizes, so you have to play it by ear.

Denis Kolar:
Thanks Frog.

Printhouse:
Same here.  If the run has more smaller sizes I run a 10 inch.....  If it is heavier on the 3XL's I will go 12 inch.
