Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas Edison
Brighter may actually mean not as hot, as in more energy to visible light as opposed to heat.
We've replaced one of the Calmat's with the MSI (wow) and now have 6 extra bulbs for the remaining Calmat, but eventually, another MSI will find it's way here.Steve
So the MSI is better than the Calmat? Just asking in case that is not common knowledge among MHM users and future MHM buyers.
We need a scientist on board. It's my understanding that what we want is medium-wavelength bulbs, whose spectrum is best suited to curing plastisolquickly. The long wavelength bulbs have more visible light (or maybe it's shortwave? I dunno) and less heat. This can of coursebe overcome by using more or higher wattages. The Calmat's have a gold reflector surface on the inside of the lamp. Add's to cost, but makes sense. No point in heat goingup. The place I'm ordering these bulbs from mentioned a ceramic reflective coating. %90 as effective as gold, lasts longerand costs less. Sold.
