Triple durometer squeegee
« on: January 25, 2013, 07:16:09 PM »
I now have the option of either buying the squeegee rubber from the a well known manufacturer such as Murakami or Pleiger and get it shipped to my shores or alternatively get a squeegee rubber from a Chinese manufacturer and have it send for free to Japan. The first option, getting it from the States will cost me 3times as much, the rubber is more then twice as much as a Chinese made and the shipping ads the rest.
Just wondering if there will be such a big difference in quality, but I guess the only option to find out is to try it. In the end I think I won't be loosing much getting 4 meters of triple durometer for $100.

I use serilor triple layer.
I believe they have distributor all over east or south east asia.
I am getting a serilor sharpner from Hong Kong through a local distributor. It is costing me $400 just on air freight alone.

If I get someone to bring it to me, I get slapped with a 40% tax.

email the following people, they might be able to help.

That's the beauty of running my business in Japan. No import tax on anything related to screen printing.
Thanks for the link.
