Corona Prepare for the worst.
« on: April 01, 2020, 08:34:52 AM »
This is rather morbid.     If you get tested and are positive for Carona you can whipped away by some guys in white suits in minutes.       Stuck in isolation in a hospital ward.      If you are badly infected you can die there without seeing any of your family again.
Are you prepared for this?
Does someone have your passwords, know all about your bank accounts? Etc, etc.
Hopefully we’ll all make it through this but some are not going to.
Your President said the situation will be good if only 200,000 die in the USA.     I think it's smart and responsible to behave as if we are one of those.

I hope you and your family are well. Is the infection and death rate in Israel what was predicted say 2 weeks ago?

I have already started getting affairs in order. Little things here and there that are trivial right now but would be serious if a loved one had to take care of things for me in case of being hospitalized or dare I say dead.

My state is now the fourth highest in positive rates increase, I live right in the middle of the largest hot spot in CT and with in the largest hot spot in the world, its a bit scary. AS of right now even if you are showing symptoms you cannot go in for testing, you have to have a referral first and then you have to go to one of the many out side testing sites set up. And from what is being said around the state they are not referring anyone unless symptoms are severe enough to warrant it.

My wife is working in the testing clinic here. We have been getting all our affairs in order, just in case. Our 20 year daughter lives in France with my wife's family. We made the decision that she is not to come back to the US. They are taking it a lot more serious there than the people around here are.

Most of Israel is taking this very seriously, we are basically locked down and they did this fast.
There are no flights in or out of the country and anybody who does come into the country has to go into a two week isolation.
Our numbers are a lot less than they expected because of this.
We have a lot of religious people who has been disregarding the laws and the percentage of sick people in their areas is much higher.
You need to take this virus very seriously.
What's frightening about this is if you get sick and are put into hospital you are there in isolation, you are there alone, your family are not allowing into the building.
Not a way to die and very traumatic for the family.
The trick is to test all the time and lock down.
Without getting political the USA reacted very slowly and the cost unfortunately is going to be high.
They say that younger people often get sick but don't show symptoms, then then pass it onto older  people, we don't see our grandchildren.      Also our son who lives in Tel Aviv.

This a good thing, let's hope it is a trend as more statistics come in from the first infected communities.

Haven't seem my parents in a month. I live 2 minutes from my father, 10 minutes from my mother and 15 minutes from my (91 y/o) grandfather. I've moved in with my gf and only leave the house to work and grocery shopping. She hasn't left the house in 3 weeks.

This sh*t is scary and we only have 400+ dead right now. Emergency status is about to be extended until May 1st (will probably be extended for the 4th time), school year is over. I do believe it's going to take a lot longer than May for this thing to be under control. There's a lot of talking about a second wave starting in September (would probably be October for us as the weather is much warmer here), so that's something to think about.
