Sewn on Letters?
« on: January 11, 2013, 10:07:19 AM »
I have seen the sewn on letters on shirts and jackets with the freed edges. I have a customers that wants this screen printed. Has anyone done printing to make it look like this?

It can be done. With right base and high density screens (and a lot of R&D) the possibilities are almost endless.

Yes we have done it. Even simulated the washed versions where the threads are frayed.

we used to do faux baseball jerseys using t's belt printed with pinstripes, 2 color name print, with a 3rd color for the stitching around the "patch" done with puff ink.  for what they were they looked pretty decent and we ran a bunch of them back then.

I think I know what you mean which might be slightly different then this but here's a design we printed for one of our chamber events last year.... Which has a faux embroidery style effect.
