Goodguys WestCoastNats2012
« on: January 03, 2013, 05:42:05 PM »
Here's one from last years bunch...Andy's sent it to impressions and it was well received, but the photos they had posted of the print were a poor representation at best.
I don't know why it looked so washed out and blurry...every photo of Andy's prints did. :(
What I do know is that if the print doesn't look like the art sent to the customer we don't run it.

Awesome.  I love that soft watercolor transparent look in the background. Paint splatters n' such.

Very good shine.  So you still work at Andy's or just freelance for him?  Did I not see that you are in Pittsburgh now?  Doing your own thing?  Maybe thats another person.

Thanks Dan.
I was playing with the transparency of the layers when building the background in Illustrator.
I used to do a lot of framework in Corel Draw and then color in Photoshop, but pretty much stick with Adobe now.
I am here in-house...do some freelance, headin' out right now.
Going to finish a digital render of a pin up...much more fun than cars. ;)
Have a good night!

Love your Rat Rods...they are hanging on the wall in Andy's art room (we like to show off the good stuff when we have company) :)

now you're talkin.

I hang out on Hub Garage so I know.  You've been holdin back.  :)

Seriously though, the translucence in the truck fender paint not to mention playin blue against a copper is brilliant.

I have seen this shirt in person.  I got kicked out of GoodGuys Scottsdale for what I did to the poor chap that was wearin it.  :)

jk

oh..the reflection off the rod rocker...good stuff man.

p.s.  I just got a lead on a set of OG Speedmasters wide 5 bolt pattern for my VW yesterday.  Gun Metal Grey, but pretty frekkin sweet.
