Looks like Fred Phelps is taking his band of pretend Christians to picket the Conneticut school massacre.

Makes me sick. I'm even a Baptist. Just hearing the name Westborough Baptist gives me a serious case of Ick.

He used to show up at our Southern Baptist Church in Wichita all the time because we refused to condemn and belittle those seeking to follow Christ, just because they were gay or lesbian. (A seeker is a seeker.)

I'd rather be known for tornadoes any day. A new low point for humanity, and Kansas in particular.

Please accept our collective Kansas apologies. We aren't all mouth-breathing Neanderthals.

Every state has at least one. We've got Terry Jones in Gainesville burnin' Korans. The thing that chaps my a$$ is when the adults drag kids into their displays of hatred. Goes for Muslims dressing their kids with pretend suicide vests as well. Other than that, ignore 'em. They just want to see themselves on the news with their "piety" on full display.

If this was my child or relative, I swear on my life I would shoot them dead where they stand. . . not a threat, just a promise. these are the type of scum bags that need to be dealt with. Free speech my ass, they need to be taken out. I'm suprised nobody has atleast taken a shot at them.

Thanks for the heads up. I am going to keep an eye on the local news and FB and if these douches come me and some friends will have to go take a ride. No violence of course, no reason to answer such a violent act with another, but my idea is to bring sheets on poles and block their signs  from view. Someone touches that's a different story. If they do come I will plead to the local news reporters to not film them period, if they do shame on them as we'll. god forbid if they try to picket at one of the funerals, I doubt any of them have the nut sack to do that. It would be like going to a hells angels rally and sporting signs saying HA are wussies.

Don't worry, the freedom riders will be there in full force I am sure.  They were here in Marietta when they picketed a college girl's funeral.  The families shouldn't be able to see them at all...the riders do a great job of blocking any view.

I didn't think about that but you're right Brad. It is wonderful to see them with all those flags...riding in parade. The Patriot Guard was started in Kansas, actually. I didn't know about the Freedom Rider group, but it must be a similar kind of thing.

They do a great service.

Maybe that is the local group that did it here.  They had a good showing too.  At first you get worried when a crapload of bikers cruise into a quiet neighborhood like ours.

A soldier was buried a few years ago in Wellington a small town south of Wichita. A high profile loss of a home town hero...that drew in the maggot protesting human turds from Topeka. I happened to be waaay up in my bucket truck servicing an electric sign, so I got a birds eye view of the Patriot Guard in parade below me. It still gives me a chill to see it in my mind. Hundreds of bikes with flags waving behind them, from the church to the cemetery. It turned a shrill, senseless protest into a hero's send off.

I would love to see them get an @ss whooping.  I am talking serious beat down.  No permanent scars or broken bones, but just a good amount of physical pain.

Also, I want to start up a vigilante group.  But instead of killing people, we steal their identities and ruin their lives that way.  That would be awesome.

I am the type of person that needs to excercise restraint and not even show up at certain demonstrations like the Westboro. I mean it when I say I will refrain from jumping on them but I know my tolerance is low and my reaction has always been a tick above a short fuse. Tho if these scum bags do come to my state I will not be able to refrain from trying to help the community avoid seeing these fools. When Matt Hale came to my town years ago spewing his racist hatred I was right there with the rest of our citizens yelling louder than him.

I think they take advantage of the fact that Christians are supposed to forgive their trespasses. I still find that the hardest part of the Lord's Prayer... if there's a hell, they have a place in it, but then, I understand it's not really my call.

Thats why they make a no trespass sign....pass it and thats your azz, God works way to slow in some cases...you would think the south would be full of that kind of stuff, but for some reason they like to hang in the bigger cities, I guess they get more attenion there than our one horse little towns.
