Spray tacky is a necessary evil for sweats. I mostly use Tekbond. I also use sanding sponge to clean the platens and reactivate the adhesive.

One tip I will share for the times we must use spray for reducing overspray mess, is a simple cardboard mask.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Thanks Frog!  That is a great tip.

I printed a bunch of mixed shirts today, Tees, Polo's Long Sleeved Tees, Crew Neck Sweats and Hoodies. Left Chest and Full Back and I HATE those types of jobs, all different sizes and colors. What a mess....  The web spray and the cardboard mask for overspray is perfect for this type of job.

99% of the time I use the CCI liquid and even for some hoodies.  And as long as I keep it warm with a little flash, and keep de-fuzzing, I get by.  But for a BIG run of hoodies, the web spray is the solution, wicked though it may be.

And Moose, thanks for the video. Ima gonna try that. I use a Scotch Brite Pad and water, but I try out your method.

Shanarchy,

we do a fair amount of hoodies and also hate renewing the tac on the pallet. After ruining several hoodies over several jobs (because the fabric moved) we have come to the ultimate conclusion that you have to clean after almost every load or order more hoodies.
Especially on large prints IF IT DON'T STICK IT WILL MAKE YOU SICK and cost you $$$$$ and time.
Here is what we use torenew the pallet adhesive BTW we wus the same stuff.
If you find a way around this let us all know

I'm sure that you have similar products over there. This one seems to be pushed a lot in the smaller containers at our discount Dollar Type stores. (btw, never used it myself, but sometimes mix Windex 50/50 with water for reactivating and lint removal)

We use Simple Green which  works nicely for us. They have distributers all over Europe.

What is everyone using for pallet adhesive? I generally use Tekbond TV HVwaterbase pallet adhesive, but find I have to reactivate it after almost every hoodie. I hate using spray adhesive, but will sometimes grab a can of the old evil stuff. So what do you use?
I remember Chromaline having a pallet adhesive for fleece tops. TexTac II. 5Gallons for $160.
https://www.chromaline.com/product/textac-ii/

Did anyone respond specifically to this product that Rockers posted?  It seems Chromaline made it specifically to combat the problems the regular textac doesn't address.  Has anyone used it?  Success?  Failure? Somewhere in between the web-spray and the regular water base glue as far as effectiveness on fleece?

I felt already being ignored here. Thanks for bringing this up again;)

It appears that no one here has tried that particular stickum.

Over the years, this topic has come up more than once. I remember when I asked for a suggestion a few years back, Tekmar TB-HV was suggested. I use it, but only on short runs, wiping after three or so uses. Certainly not a complete solution in my mind. It's cleaner, but not as quick as the funky spray each time.

Perhaps, the Chromaline is the true Holy Grail. Someone get a jug and report back!

super glue, it seems extreme, but the fleece doesn't shift at all.  Of course there is no getting it off the platen either.

The only setback is that it comes  in 5 gallons minimum.

i use regular TEXTAC (not the II) and thin it about 30-50% with water...like everyone else, i can usually only go 1-2 hoodies without reactivcation (i use squirt water bottle and a scrubber sponge)...the first time i used it, did full strength on our manual vastex press, first shirt took the pallet rubber with it...LOL

I spread the tack on thick, flash and then another coat. Seems to last longer for hoodies least 6 before reactivating. On the auto the pressure seems to keep them tacked longer.
