How to keep fine lines from blowing off?

especially when used as class rosters at 12 pts.
I also hate the way the "e"'s and "a"'s fill in.

There's alot of fonts I don't like to print and try my best to talk them out of it, but the end its there product and if they like it I have no problem.  The biggest thing is trying to go from a paper print to on garments, not everything works or look the same.

I say anything that can be displayed on a computer monitor should be able to be printed on fabric and look exactly the same.

If I get a design with skinny-serif fonts "Engraver, Caslon, etc.), I sometimes thicken it up a bit by adding a small outline to it. This makes it easier to print and easier to read and the customer never notices that it's been altered.

I hear ya.. just making sure there are no tools I'm missing.  I'd hate to be bashing nails with a screwdriver just because I didn't know a tool called a hammer existed.
