The class will be taught by Liz Beavers, who is an embroidery industry innovator with more than 25 years’ experience in commercial machine sales, production and education. She owned and managed a successful embroidery and digitizing business in Central Texas.
The class will include a review of the best practices to use for embroidery production, including how to achieve higher efficiency and better quality through good work habits. Learn how to present and sell embroidery services and how to embroider on a wide range fabrics and materials like leather. The day-long class also covers strategies for profitable pricing. Also, find out how to set yourself apart by adding the wow factor to your embroidery.
On Friday, Dec. 14, Chuck Maulsby will be teaching a free screen printing class from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. “Screen Printing 101” will cover the basics of screen making including emulsions, how to use an exposure calculator, and screen coating techniques. Inks and special effects also will be covered.
