Dirty Underwear (not really)

My Achilles heal ...one of them anyway....is not cleaning up after myself.
I justify it by saying I am too busy and other things more important need my attention.....but I lie to myself.
So in an effort to turn over a new leaf....I am showing you my dirty underwear....so to speak

I have seen some photos on here of nice clean streamlined shops....here is my reality.......is your shop a "clean room"?. I guess this is more for "Mom and Pop" shops....as I think it is easier to be able to simply delegate the cleaning to someone else.

Yeah, I don't want to contribute to your "problem" because I'm equally guilty of it myself... but that is pretty clean to me.

I do like having employees that I can basically make them "do as I say, not as I do".  Not a very good way to handle it, but it's handled.  And now they make more of the mess than I do... so it's easier to clean up small messes I make since they are less frequent.  Plus lots of time it's a joint project... so clean up just falls on them while I have to tend to more important things... like forum posting.

This is the aftermath of my wife moving stuff around in my office when I was out of town. If you were to look at her side, It's perfectly clean. Sheesh.


We will be moving it out tonight to the shop and reorganizing. The other pic is the inside of my new location.  Just loaded the big stuff in last night. I'm going to fill this space up real quick I figure.

The biggest problem you got there is a CAPS/Kodiak press and One_stroke inks. Other than that, everything else is OK

Just kidding, it is not that big of a deal. I'm remodeling my house and my work area in the basement. I'm waiting to be done so I could post some pics.

No offense taken...one is the result of the other....the Caps press is such a piece of crap for anything beyond one color printing......so I trap as a regular method....and forget under basing....One Stroke Inks allowed me to print on darks without underbasing....using their colormax series.

Dan you have a office suite for your shop? Did you make sure to let them know printing has a smell? Also do you have the OK to put in a exhaust for the dryer? I know a guy here that moved into a office suite like yours and was kicked out after a few months of the other renters complaining.

Not sure how you define Office suite, but I'm in an individual building on a corner of the block. Then next building is a block building also and it is a separate building that has about a 3" gap between buildings. Guess thats how they built them back then. I do have apartments above tho.




Also, yes.  I actually have the dryer sitting back in a smaller room that will be blocked off (to save on air conditioning) and a dryer vent with a fan pulling the air out to the back of the building. It's about a12-15 ft vent length to the outside from the dryer.

You should be OK with the exhaust but with people living above you I would have got everything approved in the lease. I mean office suite by you have carpet on the floors and drop ceilings like a office. Its not a warehouse suite. Good to see you take the leap into printing. Now you can bitch and complain like the rest of us.
