My Senior Moment
« on: October 11, 2012, 08:06:56 AM »
So it's official now. I'm eligible for Senior Moments. It was my 52nd birthday yesterday and all was well and good the night before when I was given a welcome back/happy birthday suprise party. Pretty much the whole company turned out and we took over the restaurant for a couple of hours. So yesterday I announced that I was leaving early and lo and behold.........can't find my keys. Receptionist blasts out "Tony lost his keys!" over the intercom and the whole place goes upside down looking for them.
And it turns out they were in my office in an un-used drawer the whole time. Still trying to find out if that was a prank but my gut says I'm just getting older.
I'm just glad that I'm still walking upright like a proper homo-sapien at this point!

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES COMPLETELY WITHIN MY CONTROL YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN TEE SHIRT AND A SHARPIE MARKER BY NOON TOMORROW OR SIMPLY CALL SOMEONE WHO GIVES A SHIRT.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

One of the printers comes in this morning with a spelling concern, I look up the file, the approval email and all of that. A short time later, our artist comes in and reminds me that we had an entire conversation about it just yesterday. Seriously, I got nothin'...

I've wandered around looking for my damn phone when it's been in my pocket all the time. My sister and her husband were at Yosemite, and she swore she left her phone in a bathroom a hundred miles back. Called to cancel the number from her husband's phone, called me to tell me not to bother calling her old number. Her husband asked her if she was absolutely sure the phone wasn't in the car somewhere, and she swore it wasn't. He told her to try calling anyway just for the hell of it. It was in her pocket. Her face was a tad red when she called me back to admit she had it the whole time.
