Affordable place to get a spare 4800 spindle?
« on: October 08, 2012, 06:23:35 PM »
Looking for a second spindle so I can keep both our 14" and 17" rolls loaded for a quick changeover (and no film sliding around on the roll).  They all seem to be about $90, seems high for that, maybe I'm just a cheap ass.

Locally there was one of those annoying Craigslist ads that seem to come up for any related search
for like ever for a 4800 spindle for $40. Of course as soon as I actually try and find it it's gone.

Commit to one size film. I did the dance for a while too but am much happier sticking with one.

I see them on ebay every now and then in the $50-$60 range. 'had to buy two and that was the best I've seen.
