just couple of questions what type of equipment you use to make them transfers
and type of ink you use

Hello Gabe,

We use both manual and semi auto graphics presses (cameo).  As for ink we use wilflex but ink is subject to how you print. The best way to find a ink that works for you is get samples from everyone and test test. Do you print now or just looking into it?

I have been in the industry for 18 years screen printing garments platisol only
right now i`m taking a break due to my son needing special care
but missed screen printing
i had the other day the idea for clients that order two to three times a year
the same simple, one to three color logos
to just screen print them on transfers and iron them as needed
my question to you is  how long you can store them before the ink cracks in the paper?

I've used more than year old transfers stored in zip lock bags.

Just ran across several  hundred from 15 ys ago (probably more). Still work fine.

We have actually had a guy come in every few months or so and have us transfer some old ones he had from the 70's. Now I can't verify that is actually when they are from for sure, but he would have no reason to make that up. Plus the "content" of the transfers and the overall appearance wouldn't surprise me at all if they were from the 70's.
I have ones that we printed that are a little over 6 years old, and they work just fine.

Any idea on shelf life, ifa any on the paper? I have two huge shrik wrapped pallets of this in large sheetslooks like 24"x48"

Any idea what brand? coated or uncoated?
