« on: September 06, 2012, 11:22:05 AM »
Hi Everyone..

John here from DCPS.
Can anyone give me some advice on how they might print this design on dark shirts?
2 or three colors? I am a little lost on this one.

Thanks alot!

White and pink is what I see.  But if you're Tonypep he'd probably say pink discharge and done!

White discharge base and plastisol pink on top or just plan old plastisol all the way around on 230 base white screen and 305 pink screen if on an auto...little lower mesh counts for manual to save your back.  then again you might even want to use two pinks one for your halftones and a higlight pink .

If using only regular plastisol

1 Base white (230 mesh) at 50lpi halftone, 22.5 degree screen angle using ellipse dot shape.
2 PINK. 305 mesh. 50lpi halftone, 22.5 degree screen angle using ellipse dot shape.

To do it in 2 colors, you need to use that 305 mesh (for best results) of maintaining the detail. You need that pink to be darkened up by the shirt color (for the shadow tones).

You can use all 230's but then I'd also want to use a process black (cut back on the solid content) on top for the fine detail.
