Some Ink Room pics
« on: September 05, 2012, 11:15:07 AM »
I prefer to have the WB and Plastisol in totally separate rooms The discharge room also has a stainless sink and wash testing equipment. The Plastisol room has the table builtmore than twelve ys ago with the cutouts for the mixing colors. I believe Brannon has built something similar.

Don't forget the heat gun for a quick cure to check color! I think that that was a good tip back when you first mentioned it.

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Sure thing; we're a little upside down right now after completing the acquisition of three other companies but it's never boring!
BTW I will be having a lot of screen racks, carts, tables, light tables, transfer machines, and tons more up for sale soon. It will be over on the dark side.

Hey Tony, that's very nice. Cant wait to move next year so we can separate our ink room into plastisol and water base as well. So just curious, you are back in Charleston, correct? Can't wait to visit home next May. Would love to take you out for some beers and boiled peanuts!

Yes I am in Charleston living in beautiful Mt Pleasant. Just an FYI these acquisitions were primarily of rather dormant companies. We picked and chose what people and equipment to keep and what not to. The good news is that we were able to broaden our customer base as well. One company is/was a uniform company with retail presence and that has grown embroidery by leaps and bounds. 42 heads I believe. Anyone from this board can feel free to call and visit. The SP equip is mostly old and you will note some old school tactics but since I am approaching old I don't mind.

Mt P. Hahaha, awesome. I grew up downtown on Cannon Street years and years ago. Probably condos there now. Also lived on Folly Beach. Man, how I miss the weather and beaches. I will stay in touch for sure. Thanks Tony!

Well you might not recognize it Brandon. It has literally burst out nearly out of it's seams in my 10 yr absense. More expensive as well but still cool as all get out.

Where is the dark side?  I'm interested in a screen rack or two, a cart or two and some tables.   You can post here as well in the classifieds.

Over on Digitsmith,  they can fill their Robert rant quota along with their classifieds, while here, though the classifieds are another great resource, it's mostly just sensible discussion and a gracious exchange between friendly members.  Doesn't fill the need to bitch so many seem to have! lol ;D

Yeah, that's what my family and friends tell me. I keep thinking of retirement there far in the future but I really miss New Orleans as well. From what I hear yes pricing has gone waaay up compared to NOLA

That's because people probably actually want to live there.

Or they don't like the smell of urine. ;)

Hey, I will live in NOLA any day of the year! The best city in my opinion ranging from art to music to everything in between!

And you have never been to Charleston during summer! Well, at least over 12 years ago there was horse piss e v e r y w h e r e. And horse crap. Damn, flies the size of Canada!!! My cat got carried away one day...
