The Tajima TCMX Mixed Type series, distributed by Hirsch International, features an embroidery head and chenille head on the same machine to make it fast, productive, and efficient to switch back and forth from an embroidery order to a chenille job or do multimedia looks combining both processes.
Using the latest technology, Tajima’s chenille head has increased its stitch speed from 600 stitches per minute to 750 stitches per minute. It sews up to six colors, and there are 10 needle height settings that can be adjusted to accommodate various hoop heights or chain size. Loop stitches and chain stitches can be automatically switched by a setting on the operation panel. The needle, nipple, and presser foot automatically lift up for easy frame exchange.
The easy-to-use LCD 6.5-inch operation panel has a compact design and special use keys, and the current job on the machine is always displayed on the screen in real time. Data design input can be done via a USB memory stick in addition to a LAN port for easy networking.
The standard embroidery head has a middle thread guide with take-up spring, which picks up excess thread and stabilizes the balance of the upper and lower threads at high speeds. The company estimates with this improved function that thread breaks have been reduced between 30% and 50% as compared to earlier models.
Another improvement is the ball-change drive system for changing thread colors. According to Tajima, this innovation has lowered the amount of time it takes to change colors from the 1st to the 9th needle from 3 seconds to 1.1 seconds to improve multicolor embroidery production. The TCMX Mixed Type series comes in models ranging from one pair to 15 pairs of heads.
