Has this happened to anybody?
« on: August 18, 2012, 05:44:05 PM »
Taken from Rutland website:
*Note to 100% Cotton users: 100% Cotton could have a ghost image appear if printed with low bleed
inks. NPT SF Low Bleed White is a low bleed ink and should not be printed on 100% Cotton. NPT SF
Low Bleed White is recommended for polyester/cotton blends.

Of course after I print about a thousand shirts I read the tech sheet. I have only used LB inks on all my 100% cotton and never heard of this.

Thanks for the links. I will be bringing in both cotton and lb white from the streetfighter line so I dont have to ever deal with something like this.

Gerry,

With regard to the sf lb, if you haven't tried the Miami ink superior, I'd try a sample - very similar in cost and the opacity is night and day on a one hit. May want to give it a go if you havent already. My $.02.

I've used them all, quite literally.  Quick is good, so is the SF, phoenix, etc., but the best bang for the buck has been the miami for us.  I've been through 10 gallons in the last 4 weeks and it's been great.  I keep a low bleed poly white in stock and the wilflex UB grey for those pesky bleeders.

I have bought and tried about half dozen different whites that have been recommended here and other places some were good, some ok, some NWS. I have about decided to mix them all in a five gallon bucket and see what I get. Now my 2 cents on the best white. Sonny (Printficient)'s White has been the most superior of all the whites I have used.

Xenon's white is good.  I seriously think it works best with a gas dryer though.  The people I've talked to that have problems with it have electric.  It does flash a little slower than I'd like.  I am testing SF white and so far I like it.  I might try Miami's next.  We'll see.  Price doesn't bother me on ink.  Performance does.  I will say OneStroke EJ Special White Auto was probably about the best white I've used.

Xenon white is probably about the best all around white for bleed resistance, cottons and so on.

I think so, I can't remember, it was about a month ago.

I like wilflex, I just think their whites could be better.
